Overseeing the financial and regulatory reporting functions in Canada and ensuring these processes operate effectively and accurately, following the Coinbase centralized model, delivering accurate regulatory and financial insights into the business.
Own the Company’s parallel books of accounts maintained in line with IFRS and maintain appropriate reconciliations and valid support for all adjustments.
Own end-to-end preparation, review, and coordination of all recurring regulatory filings.
Responsible for preparation and coordination of financial statements, regulatory reporting, and other related information for external use (audit, submission to regulators, etc.), and play a leading role in external communication as the representative of the Finance department.
Preparation of Coinbase Canada monthly management reporting and analytical review thereof, including reporting and communication to the Board.
Acting as a contact point within the company for financial reporting queries and queries from regulatory authorities relating to the financial and regulatory reporting obligations of the firm.
Preparing and updating various finance policies and procedures.
Monitoring and overseeing the performance of outsourced services by outsourced service providers relating to the finance function and assessing KPIs and SLAs.
Active in Coinbase Canada liquidity management and coordinating closely with the treasury team.
Participating in critical projects, including the transitioning to new external vendors, integration, automation or enhancements.
Supporting ad hoc financial information requests and analyses and other special projects as assigned.
